Pipe alingment clamps
Multiweld offers various pipe alingment clamp types. The pipe alignment clamps are intended for internal or external use.
Our pipe alingment clamps are divided in several categories:
External pipe alignment clamp, mechanical, hydraulic, rattle, tack and no-tack.
Pipe alignment clamps with a single chain and double chains.
Internal pipe alignment clamps with a trapezium thread.
External pipe alignment clamps
By using the external pipe alignment clamps from Jankus, the optimal weld preparation will be achieved. Ideal for making a pipe-pipe connection or a pipe flange connection. You will be able to align your product precise and fast and make the prope tack welds . For stainless steel pipe work we have the stainless steel execution in order to prevent contact corrosion.
Advantage:
Pipe alignment clamps with adjustable single or double chain.
These chain clamps are for pipes with a wall thickness up to 12 mm (0, 4724 inch) and produces a clamping force of 2500 kg. These clamps can be adjusted to diff+erent pipe sizes.
Chain clamps can be delivered suitable for a pipe diameter up to a 1524 mm (60, 0000 inch). As an option they can be delivered in stainless steel.
Cage clamps
Mechanical cage clamps are mounted like a sleeve over the outside of the pipe. By using a lever, both parts of the clamp applying force to the tube. This way the tube gets as round as possible. When the clamp is under tension the pipe can be spot-welded after that the clamp can be removed and the pipe can be welded.
The Hand Lever, Ratchet, and Hydraulic Cage Clamps have been the standard in the industry for more than 50 years. The Cage clamp rapidly aligns one pipe to another. Each Cage Clamp is manufactured for a specific pipe diameter. If the outside diameter of the pipe varies more than 4mm the clamp will not be accurately align the pipes. The three models of Clamps are available with two types of Alignment Bars. The No Tack arched alignment bar permits full circle welding of the pipe without removal of the clamp. The No Tack Type Clamp makes the welding process more efficient and insures a quality weld
Stright Cross Bars on Tack Type Clamps have flared end so pipes can be moved into place more easily. After tacking the clamp is moved off the joint and the full circle weld is completed.
No Tach Clamps, with arched Cross Bars, allow for a quality 100% weld without removal of the clamp. Arched Cross Bars on No Tack Clamps have flared end so pipes can be moved into place more easily. Use the No Tack Clamp to more efficently align and weld pipe joint.
Straight Alignment Bars of the Tack Type clamp have flared end so pipes can moved easily into position and clamped. The pipe is tack welded between the alignment bars. Once the tack welding process is complete, the clamp is removed from the pipe and the weld is completed. The Hand Lever Cage Clamp is a great device for aligning smaller diameters of pipe. The cam tensioning mechanism of the clamp makes it easy to rapidly align small pipes. The Tack Type Hand Lever Cage Clamp is available for 2” - 60” (50-1524mm) pipe and the No Tack Hand Lever Cage Clamp is available for 3” - 60” (76-1524mm) pipe.
The Ratchet Cage Clamp provides the extra force necessary to align larger pipe diameters. The ratchet closure mechanism makes it easy and to align large pipes. The Tack Type Ratchet Handle Cage Clamp is available for 6”- 60” (152-1524mm) pipe and the No Tack Type Ratchet Handle Cage Clamp is available for 14”- 60” (356-1524mm) pipe. A standard 1” ratchet wrench fits all clamp sizes.
The Hydraulic Cage Clamp produces the extra strength necessary for aligning larger pipe diameters. The hydraulic closure mechanism of the clamp permits rapid and effortless closure and release of the clamp from the pipe. The Tack Type and No Tack Hydraulic Cage Clamps are available for 16” - 60” (406-1524mm) pipe
Internal pipe adjustment clamps with a trapezium thread.
Internal Pipe adjustment clamps with a trapezium thread are mounted inside the pipe and flange. Both parts get separate under tension by the trapezium thread. The internal pipe adjustment clamps can be delivered for pipes in the range 51-520 mm (2,0079 - 20,4724 inch).
